New regulations are expected to come in to force later this year which will mean landlords in the private rented sector will be required to install smoke alarms in every storey of their property as well as installing carbon monoxide alarms in every room with a solid fuel burning appliance. Did you know that deaths from house fires has been halved since the introduction of smoke alarms in the 1970’s.
